Joann Vitali was born and raised in Southern Connecticut and now is living in the Boston Metro area. She’s always been surrounded by quaint New England charm, the white Christmases, big city bustle, the colorful palette of Autumn colors, and the Atlantic’s blue waters, all at her doorstep.
Whether she photographs a city like Boston or the New England countryside, she doesn’t want it to be just ‘another shot’. She wants to capture the essence of the neighborhoods that make up that city or town in a way that the lens cannot capture, bringing out the true spirit and substance of the scene and the people’s influence on it. She tries to capture the lifeblood and backbone of what makes these places unique and charming.
Joann specializes in fine art wall decor for home, business and the hospitality industry. Fine art photography that brings you the essence and spirit of Boston and its eclectic neighborhoods, as well as the flavors of all things New England, into your home and heart.
Her most recent accomplishment has been receiving the 2015 Best of Houzz Award. It was an honor being chosen by the more than 25 million monthly unique users that comprise the Houzz community from among more than 500,000 active home building, remodeling and design industry professionals.

Joann has been a member of the Nashua Area Artists Association and the New Hampshire Society of Photographic Artists. Her art has been exhibited at the Exeter, New Hampshire Town Hall, the Chimera Art Gallery, the Chandler Library, Gallery One and Martin’s Photographix and Digital Exhibits, in Nashua, New Hampshire.
